Lego House and Liam's Missing Tooth

During play I recently made a house.  Originally, it was supposed to be something for a Lego car to run into and break down, but Liam decided he wanted me to build a regular looking house.
I decided to make it so the top could come off.

The flowers on the top were just for fun.

Liam eventually decided the house should be turned into a Star Wars lightsabor store... as in, a place where you go buy lightsabers.

On another note, Liam lost his first tooth this week!  The new one is up and coming.  My little boy is growing up!  Slow down time!  Slow down!!!!!

Lego Instructions for an Elephant

Liam and I made a Lego zoo the other day.  It was a lot of fun, but it didn't last long.  Pretty soon lasers got attached to the walls (to keep the animals from getting out), and before long... the zoo pretty much exploded.
I kept, however, an elephant (made from Lego bricks, of course), and I made instructions on how to build it.  Click here for the instructions.  Sorry, no individual brick list/count yet, but I may add it later.

Lego Ewok Adventure

Liam and I built the LEGO Star Wars The Battle of Endor set today.  It was great fun.  He's asleep at the moment (it's pretty late), but I stayed up and set up a big adventure for tomorrow.  He's going to love it.

Here's a video of the set up... so fun!

By the way, the LEGO Star Wars The Battle of Endor set is fabulous.  It came with a lot of really fun pieces (e.g. several dark green plates, ton's of angled pieces, 4 fishing poles, etc).  The ATST isn't as hard as it looks like it might be.  My only advise is that when you build the big building at the end, be sure not to mix up the dark grays and the blacks.  It's a bit tricky, but totally doable.

We also got the set 7956, the Ewok tree & speeder set.  It's pretty fun too, and much less expensive.  Though I will say, it goes great with the big one.

Enjoy!

Lego Power Rangers

Liam wanted to watch Power Rangers this morning.  As he did so I started building their "Power Chamber," or headquarters.  The picture above shows Zordon, the magical floating head that tells the Power Rangers what's up.
Here's a little bit of a closer look at Zordon's head.
This is Alpha 5, the Power Ranger's robot helper.  Mine looks a bit more "robotic" than the original, but it's true to the idea.

Here's the rest of the Power Ranger's headquarters...
Liam made sure I included the big screen they use.
This is the big overview.
Zordon and Alpha 5 in action.

Finally, although not directly from Power Rangers, this is the villain our Lego Rangers had to fight today.  Along with a not-so-great Rita Repulsa look alike, this "dragon" like character tried to destroy the Power Rangers today.  Fortunately, the Rangers won.

Building a Lego Jungle Adventure

Today our story started out with a pirate capturing a princess, but before we got too far we started building sets/scenery. My favorite. This is the pirate king's jungle throne room.

I suppose I may have gone overboard with the foliage, but it was just too fun putting it in.  Here's a closer look at the throne. The back moves on a hinge, just in case the pirate needs to relax a bit.
This is the cage hanging outside the pirate lair.
I wrapped the string around some 1x1 cylinder pieces.
I then sent it through a 1x1 with a little thing on the side,
I like the skeleton. So fun.  I had fun building the rock, too.
My favorite of Liam's creations (keep in mind he's 5) was his flying surf board. This is what the hero rides.
He also created an interesting set with several computer terminals and guns.
We'll be playing the adventure in the morning after we build our new Ninjago set. Speaking of which, Toys R Us has lots of new sets. They must have just come in. Liam and I were pretty excited. So fun!
